shocking in criminal cases in KabulKabul security officials informed of a dramatic increase in criminal cases in capital Kabul, and said at least 100 crime cases were recorded in the city during the past one month.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Department in Kabul security commandment, Syed Gul Agha Hashimi told reporters on Thursday, at least 200 suspects have been arrested in connection to the criminal cases in Kabul city.

Mr. Hashimi further added that murder cases, kidnappings and armed robberies were among the criminal cases which were recorded in Kabul city during the past one month.

A number of the victims of the criminal cases had also participated in the press conference today, which also included a kid, who was kidnapped by gunmen in Kabul city last week.

In the meantime, Kabul CID chief, Syed Gul Agha Hashimi called growing population in Kabul city and fear regarding lack of employment and work opportunties beyond 2014, as the main reasons behind growing criminal violence in capital Kabul.

Hashimi also said, poverty and lack of employment also contributes in growing criminal violence in Kabul city.
