The Afghan National Police (ANP) forces have arrested at least 206 individuals in connection to various criminal charges over the past four weeks.
The Kabul Police Chief Gen. Syed Mohammad Roshandil in a statement said the suspects were rounded up during separate operations in Kabul city and from other parts of the province.
Gen. Roshandil further added that the detained individuals were mainly accused of robberies, illegal possession of weapons, drugs smuggling and selling, moral offense, and other criminal incidents.
He also added that the Afghan National Police forces have also discovered and defused eighteen landmines and rockets during the same period.
According Gen. Roshandil the landmines and rockets were discovered and defused during separate operations and before the militants manage to use them in the attacks.
The Kabul Police Chief also urged the residents of the city to assist the police forces in improving the security of the capital.
