Four people have lost lives and 15 others sustained injuries in a bomb blast in 11th police district of Kabul city.
The blast took place in Khair Khana area and apparent target of the attack was Rafiullah Gul Afghan, a former senator, who was passing through the area in his vehicle.
Gul Afghan told reporters following the blast that he survived unhurt but his bodyguards wounded.
Government had earlier warned police officers of Kabul city to prevent security issues in their areas or they may lose their jobs.
Based on this decision, officer of the 11th police district where the blast took place around 9 am today has been suspended.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
