Kabul bank is the largest commercial Bank of Afghanistan. Having started commercial operations on 27th June 2004, the Bank has become the market leader in terms of business volume, number of branches, customer base, quality of customer service, employees etc. We are the most preferred Bank by the people of this country.
Mr. Sherkhan Farnood is the Chairman and Mr. Khalilullah Frozi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. The bank is professionally managed by very senior Afghan bankers and some experts from India and Pakistan. Kabul Bank, like all banks operating in Afghanistan, is under the supervision of Da Afghanistan Bank, which is the central bank of the country.

Kabul Bank has increased its branch network to 68 branches covering 34 provinces. Bank is having 28 branches in Kabul and other 40 branches are in provinces. Looking to rapid growth and demand the bank will very soon have 11 more branches and will cover all most of the distract of Afghanistan
. The Bank has shown tremendous growth and has started earning profit since inception.
Bank is providing facility to maintain accounts in Current, Savings Bank and Fixed Deposits. The account can be opened and maintained in Afghani, USD, EUR etc. Bank has a new deposit product “Bakht Deposit” which is one of the most popular deposit schemes, introduced in April 2006. Many of our customers has evinced their interest in this scheme which could increase our client-base tremendously.
We are having various loan products like working capital, term loans etc. Letter of Guarantee and Letter of Credit are issued for our valuable clients to provide financial assistance to them.
Kabul Bank is connected all over the Globe through SWIFT facility which enables fast funds transfer for the customers. Bank is having correspondent relationship with seven International Banks situated in Germany, China, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia and India, Belgium, Italy and Iran. We are also the principal agent for Western Union Money Transfer in Afghanistan and handling 85% of their total remittances business.
Bank provides “Any Where Banking facility for its customers enabling them to their transactions from any of the branches. We also extend Internet Banking facility with secured password to our valued clients on request. Bank adheres to the norms of Da Afghanistan Bank with required capital adequacy. We are continuously increasing our Profitability. At the same time, we have only a negligible quantum under Non Performing Assets.
To further strengthen our services and to provide the better reach, Bank has decided to install a large number of ATMs all around the country within a short span. We are having the Master card membership and will soon start this service to our valued custoemers. Bank will soon introduce POS machines to ease purchases with plastic money. We have a large fleet of 22 armored Cash delivery Vans for door-delivery of cash. We have large contingent of trained security personnel to oversee the cash management
