Kabul attacks report presented in the meeting of Commander-in-Chief

The report regarding the coordinated attacks in Kabul was presented in the meeting of the commander-in-chief chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

The office of the President, ARG Palace, said the meeting prepared by the security and defense officials, include the circumstances surrounding the attacks.

No further details were given regarding the report but the Afghan intelligence said Wednesday that the notorious Haqqani terrorist network is involved in the attacks which were planned with the support of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

In the meantime, President Ghani hailed the Afghan forces for their quick reaction and response to prevent more casualties in the attacks and instructed the relevant security and defense institutions to assist with the families of those who have embraced martyrdom in the attacks.

He also instructed the security and defense officials to step up efforts and pay strict attention to prevent the plans of the enemies for conducting terrorist attacks.

President Ghani also instructed that the new Police District#17 should be established during the ongoing week.

According to ARG Palace, the meeting also focused on the situatio of Bul Charagh in Faryab, Tala Barfak of Baghlan, and Dai Chupan of Zabul province and necessary instructions were given to improve the security of the named districts.
