
The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the Afghan Special Forces killed all five militants involved in the attack on Counterpart International Office in Kabul city.
According to a statement released by MoI, the attack was launched at around 11:40 am in the 10th police district of the city with the militants armed with suicide bombing vests and weapons initially detonating a car packed with explosives near the office of Counterpart International.
The statement further added that the Afghan Special Forces managed to eliminate the remaining 5 assailants who had taken position inside the office of Counterpart International.
The Ministry of Interior also confirmed that four civilians including a woman lost their lives in the attack along with a policeman who was involved in the rescue operation.
The statement also added that the security forces managed to rescued at least 200 workers of the organization.
The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility for the attack.
