The security forces conducted airstrikes in Paktiya and Nangarhar provinces which killed at least 5 militants.
The informed military officials said Monday that an airstrike killed 2 Taliban militants in Sayyid Karam district of Paktiya.
The officials further added that a similar airstrike kill 2 Taliban fighters in Gardez district of Paktiya.
Furthermore, an airstrike killed 1 ISIS Khurasan militant in Khugyani district of Nangarhar province.
The anti-government armed elements including Taliban and ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
