ISIS claimed responsibility for the Tuesday evening attack on an election rally of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party in the Sabi region of Balochistan, Pakistan.

Pakistani media reported that at least four people were killed and five others were injured in the explosion.

ISIS claims that 10 individuals were killed and injured in this attack.

On Tuesday, Jan Achakzai, the acting head of the Ministry of Information in Balochistan, stated in a press release on his social media platform X that these attacks aim to disrupt the election process scheduled for February 8th.

Before taking responsibility for the incident on behalf of ISIS, he had attributed the attack in Sabi to the intelligence agencies of India.

Previously, the Khorasan branch of ISIS had claimed responsibility for an attack on an election convoy of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

These attacks underscore serious security threats to the upcoming elections in Pakistan, necessitating stringent security measures.

Former Prime Minister Khan has been sentenced to 14 years, along with his wife, for their involvement in revealing government secrets. This decision has sparked widespread criticism from his political party and supporters within the country.

The sentencing of Khan and his wife has raised significant controversy, with many of his loyal followers expressing outrage over what they view as an unjust punishment for exposing government secrets.
