According to reports, a gathering of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) leaders was targeted in a US airstrike in Iraq.
According to SAudi-owned al-Hadath television station, the ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was possibly among those targeted in the air raid.
The Iraqi security officials have not commented regarding the presence of al-Baghdadi in the gathering so far.
In a separate incident, at least 20 people were killed following car bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital and the city of Ramadi to the west on Saturday.
Police and medical sources have said at least five soldiers were among those killed in the car bombings.
A police source said two bombs exploded in separate attacks in Baghdad’s mainly Shia Amil district.
