A border clash in Saravan resulted in the death of an Iranian border guard and injured two others, according to Iranian media, citing statements from the country officials.

Iranian media, citing Saeed Tajlili, the governor of Saravan, have reported that this incident occurred on Monday morning as a result of an armed confrontation at the Iran-Pakistan border in Saravan. Tragically, a border guard named Mehdi Nouri Afshar lost his life, while two others were injured.

Officials have added that this incident occurred on the 184th pilgrimage route near Saravan.

Authorities have not provided detailed information about the identity of the attacker at the Saravan border. However, they have described the condition of two injured border guards as satisfactory.

Previously, similar events have taken place involving border clashes between Pakistan and Iran, resulting in casualties among border guards.

Before this incident, six border guards from this country were killed in a “terrorist attack” on the Pakistan border in the province of Sistan and Balochistan.

It should be noted that Sistan and Balochistan province in Iran also shares a border with Afghanistan.
