Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Wednesday, that the Taliban leaders are determined to fight the United States.
He tweeted, “I found leaders of the group determined to fight the United States. Someone who has been under US torture at Guantanamo for 13 years, has not given up fighting the US in the region,”
Shamkhani said that the US is not seeking peace in Afghanistan, The US’ strategy is to continue conflict and bloodshed among different groups in Afghanistan.
“The US is showing off initiating peace talks aiming to create dead-end in peace process in Afghanistan, he added.
He said, “The US wants to accuse Afghan groups of creating insecurity and instability in Afghanistan”, IRNA reported.
IRNA reported, that the Taliban Deputy Leader, Mullah Baradar said that they didn’t “trust the US” and will fight those who serve the US.
Iran also gained the commitment of the Taliban in regards to the safety of its borders with Afghanistan.
Following the visit of the Taliban, Iranian State TV reported, that the U.S is the main cause of provoking the war in Afghanistan.
