Inzamam predicts tough contest for Afghanistan in test debut against India

[1]The former Afghan cricket coach and Pakistan’s chief selector Inzamam ul Haq predicts a tough contest for the Afghan team during their test debut against India.

Speaking to ESPN, Inzamam admitted that there are lots of talents in the Afghan team as they appear against India during their first test match.

However, he said the contest will be relatively tough for the Afghan team mainly due to the lack of experience since Afghanistan has not played four-day games a lot.

In the meantime, Inzamam said the Afghan could recover and described passion as their main strength, emphasizing that the Afghan players are not afraid of hard work.

In regards to Rashid Khan, the former Afghan coach said the Afghan spin sensation has shined in T20I and One Day International matches and will likely prove himself during the test match as well.

However, he said Rashid still needs more practice and must prepare himself to bowl consistently for 35 to 40 overs which is normal for the bowlers in test matches.

The historic test match between Afghanistan and India will kick off from 14thof June in Bengaluru city of India.
