The ombudsperson’s office has introduced former Afghan Health Minister to General Attorney, accusing him of funds embezzlement and misuse of authority, an official said.
Feroz Bashari, director of communications to the ombudsperson’s Office speaking with Khaama Press said that Ferozudddin Feroz, the former Minister of Public Health including former and current deputy ministers have been introduced to General Attorney in allegation to misuse of authority and funds embezzlement.
According to Bashari, Wahidullah Majroh, deputy minister for services and three former deputy minister’s including Dr. Feda Mohammad Paikan, Dewa Samad and Mamosai Zewar have been introduced to the attorney office.
Bashari also said that the ombudsperson’s office was assigned by President Ghani 8 weeks back to assess COVID-19 funds which were managed and spent by the Ministry of Public Health.
This comes as Ferozuddin Feroz, the former Minister of Public Health received ‘Best Minister’s Award’ Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in February 2019.
