Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that up to six tons of medicines of India have arrived in Kabul on Friday, January 7, 2022.

The medicines are part of the humanitarian assistance of India to the people of Afghanistan.

Spokesperson of the IEA Zabiullah Mujahid in a Twitter post expressed gratitude to India for the delivery of the relief assistance.

Earlier, India had delivered 500,000 doses of its domestic COVID-19 vaccines and another shipment comprised of the same number of jabs is also supposed to arrive in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, traders and businessmen in Karachi of Pakistan have submitted 84 tons of foodstuff and 500 blankets to the consulate of Afghanistan in the city.

The humanitarian aid was packed in bags and was sent to Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak crossing.

A spokesman of the IEA Inamullah Samangani has expressed gratitude to Pakistan.

Prior to that, Pakistan had delivered 18,000 tons of wheat and had installed medical equipment worth 2 million Pakistani rupees in three hospitals of Afghanistan.
