India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. India won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan lost all of its players for 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Conversely, India successfully chased the target in 30.3 overs with 117 balls remaining despite having 117 balls left in their innings.

In terms of bowling, Pakistan had a tough time making an impact with
their captain, Babar Azam, is the highest wicket-taker, with just two wickets
to his name.

Among the Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja each dismissed two Pakistani players, contributing to Pakistan’s downfall.

During India’s innings, they did not face much resistance in chasing the target and quickly scored 192 runs without losing many wickets.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, displayed exceptional brilliance with the bat, scoring 86 runs. He alone completed nearly half of India’s required runs.

In the end, India scored 192 runs, losing only three wickets and emerged victorious against Pakistan.

Among the Pakistani bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets, while the rest of the players did not have any notable performances.

Although many expected Rohit Sharma to be the match’s best player, the award went to Jasprit Bumrah. With this victory, India earned six points and returned to the top of the table in the Cricket World Cup.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup, India and New Zealand secured six points each, with three wins and no losses in their respective matches.
