Imran Khan Says Police Have Surrounded His House: ‘Probably My Last Tweet Before My Arrest’

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted to inform us that he might get arrested once again as the police have surrounded his house.

“Probably my last tweet before my next arrest. Police have surrounded my house,” the ex-premier of Pakistan tweeted On Wednesday.

Imran Khan said while addressing the nation on Wednesday, “I am afraid today that Pakistan is on the route to destruction, and I fear that if wisdom is not exercised today, we might reach a stage where we would not even be able to pick up the pieces.” 

Meanwhile, the police officers have roped off the ex-premier’s resident in Zaman Khan Park.

Earlier, Pakistan’s civilian and military officials said those involved in violent protests and vandalized government and military installations would be punished under army laws.

“The meeting endorsed to bring the miscreants, the planners who incited violence and their facilitators to dock by trying them under constitutional provisions of concerned laws, including Pakistan Army Act and Official Secrets Act,” said a statement issued by Sharif’s office.

In Pakistan, military courts are usually held in secret, depriving civilians of fundamental rights, including the freedom to choose their own lawyers.
