
PTI Chairman and Former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said everyone is condemning the attack on army installations and demanded a comprehensive investigation into it.
Following Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9 at Islamabad High Court Premises (IHC), his supporters and party workers took to the streets and led a violent protest, during which serious damages were caused to army installations, police and public property.
During his press conference, Imran Khan condemned the attack in the strongest on the Corps Commander House in Lahore, adding everyone in Pakistan is against creating violence and chaos.
PTI Chairman reiterated he is against rioting and violence and always calls on his supporters and people to conduct peaceful protests within the law and established Constitution of Pakistan.
The former prime minister said he was not holding any dialogue with anyone because he had made it clear that “talks will be held on the issue of elections only, nothing else”.
In the wake of the violence that took place on May 9, Imran Khan said the coalition government wanted to eliminate PTI from mainstream politics by using the army against the opposition party.
Meanwhile, the PTI Chairman demanded a comprehensive investigation by an independent commission into the riots that took place on May 9 – adding the attacks were planned conspiracy against his party.
