US secretary of State Antonio Blinken during his meet with his Indian counterpart in Indian reacted to the recent visit of the Taliban delegation to China and said that the group is seeking international recognition.
Antonio Blinken said that if the Taliban continue their current atrocities the country will be a pariah in the world.
A top-level Taliban delegation led by the head of Taliban’s political office Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar met the Chinese Foreign Minister and assured the country not to be subject to any threat by the group.
The US secretary of State in India said that the Taliban have to change in case they want global acceptance.
Blinken too said that the Taliban with such visits want their leaders to travel freely in the world and sanctions against them be lifted.
He added that taking over the country by force and violating the rights of people is not the path to achieve these goals.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has also asked the Taliban to expedite peace negotiations and agree upon inclusive government. He has added that no one can push the Taliban to negotiate because they consider themselves victorious.
