Monday, May 31 – According to sources, at least four U.S led forces were killed when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off on a roadside in Sayedabad district of Maidan Wardak province.

The incident took place in Sayedabad-Onokhi district while a vehicle of US Army was passing the way where an IED was planted on the roadside, Shahidullah Shahid Spokesperson of Maidan-Wardak province said.

At least four US soldiers have been killed and their vehicle was damaged following the explosion.

In a separate incident in Logar province of Afghanistan, at least seven have been killed and injured including during clashes between a private security company with the Taliban in militants on Sunday night.

According to Mohammad Jan Abed Criminal head of Logar security commandment, the incident took place in Almator area on Kabul-Logar road where a convoy of a private security company was targeted by the militants on Sunday night.

The source further added, at least two security guards of the private military company and two Taliban militantswas killed including  during the clashes. Five other security guards including one Taliban militants was also injured in the incident.

According to sources, the bodies of the deceased Taliban militants including a vehicle and some arms were left in the area.
