Tuesday, June 28 – According to local officials, an Improvised Explosive Device explosion kills at least 3 Spanish forces in Moqor district of Badghis province. At least two other forces were also injured during the incident.
According to Abdul Ghani Saberi Deputy Governor of Badghis province, the incident took place in Jafari area of Moqor district, Badghis province yesterday evening.
He further added that the explosion took place when one of the ISAF tanks boarded with Spanish forces struck with an already planted Improvised Explosive Device.
The source further added, the tanks were transporting military equipments into their base in Sang-e-Atash area when the incident took place.
The source said that at least three Spanish forces were killed as a result of the explosion and two others were injured.
Spain has deployed around 12,00 forces under the NATO-led international forces in Afghanistan and are based in Badghis province.
