Afghan Defense Ministry following a press release on Wednesday announced at least 6 Afghan National Army soldiers were injured in various incidents across the country.

The source further added, the Afghan Army soldiers were injured in various regions of the country while discovering and defusing improvised explosive devices and roadside bomb explosions.

At least 3 Afghan Army soldiers were injured at Greshk district, 2 soldiers were injured Kajaki district in Helmand and another Afghan soldier was injured at Panjwai district in Kandahar province.

Afghan defense officials also added, Afghan army soldiers seized 2 roadside bombs at Arghandab and Mosa Qala districts.

In the meantime an Army official said, at least seven Taliban insurgents were killed during an Afghan commando’s operation in western Herat province on Tuesday night.

Zainuddin Sharifi Afghan special forces commander in western regions said, Afghan commandos launched an operation at Shindand district on Tuesday night to clear the area from the militants presence.

He also said, Afghan commandos and civilians did not suffer any casualties during the operations adding that Afghan commandos seized a number of improvised explosive devices.

Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the reports.
