At least five security force members were killed and wounded in an explosion in the Qarabagh district of Kabul province, Police reported.
Ferdaws Faramarz, a spokesman for Kabul Police HQ said the incident happened at around 7:00 am on Monday morning in the Sabzsang area of Qarabagh district.
The blast has reportedly targeted a security vehicle patrolling the area, Faramarz said.
According to Faramarz, one security force member was killed and fourth others were wounded in the incident.
He also indicated that police in the area also discovered and defused planted mines, preventing other blasts from happening.
This comes as three security personnel were killed and 12 others including civilians were wounded when a car bomb exploded in Kabul’s Paghman district on Sunday.
