Kabul police told the media, at least one person was killed in a targeted magnetic IED explosion in PD5 of Kabul city.
Security officials told the media, that the explosion took place at around 11:15 a.m. before noon on Tuesday, in the Adeh-Ghazni area.
Reports indicated a personal Toyota station wagon type vehicle was targeted in the explosion.
No further details were provided about the identity of the victim, and an investigation is going into the incident.
No group or individual has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
As IED blasts and targeted killings spread fear in Kabul, Safiullah Amiri, deputy head of the Kunduz provincial council, was wounded in a blast on Tuesday morning.
According to media reports, Safiullah Amiri had left his home for the office, when the incident occurred.
Amiri and his bodyguard were immediately transferred to the hospital.
Security officials have not provided details in relation to the IED incident.
No militant group has claimed the responsibility for inflicting injuries to Amiri and his bodyguard.
