Afghan MMA fighter defeated his Russian opponent, in his opponent’s home.

Hussain Bakhsh Safari, Afghan mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter defeated his Russian rival Aktyabrin Yakovlev.

Both opponents fit the 65kg weight class, and fought inside in the cage at EFC in Moscow.

Safari won the fight following the final round by scoring higher than his opponent.

The match was held at the Eagle Fighting Championship EFC in Moscow, and Safari was able to defeat Yakovlev.

Afghanistan’s famed athlete, Safari has been training in freestyle, jujitsu, kickboxing, and fitness for a month at Camp Ahmed in Chechnya.

Safari’s opponent had two victories and three defeats in his record, his defeat records increased to four following the match.

Hussain Bakhsh by profession is a Ju-Jitsu practitioner who has won many gold medals for Afghanistan and remains top of the rank at his weight category.

Adding to his victories Safari has six wins and one loss.

The Afghan MMA fighter won his first gold medal in Jujitsu at Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan back in September 2017.

Safari was reportedly the first Afghan fighter to fight in the EFC.

Eagle Fighting Championship was founded by Khabib Nurmagomedov a Russian MMA fighter who retired with no losses, he is also known as the Eagle at UFC and remains a legend of octagons in MMA history.
