Hezb-e-Islami consider joining ISISInsurgents belonging to a faction of the Hezb-e-Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar have vowed to continue to their insurgency attacks against the Afghan government, event after the NATO forces leave Afghanistan by the end of this year.

The insurgents have also said they consider to join the Islamic State militants who are currently fighting in Syria and Iraq.

They said the current constitution of Afghanistan is US made and would keep fighting until Sharia Law was established not just in Afghanistan, but throughout the world.

In an interview with the BBC’s World Affairs Editor John Simpson, the Hezb-e-Islami fighters have confirmed that they had links with some Islamic State fighters.

The militants have said they have prayed for the Islamic State militants as great Islamic warriors.

The remarks by Hezb-e-Islami fighters comes as a former official of the party announced last month that they have decided to hold talks with the new the government of Afghanistan which is due to be formed once audit process has been completed.

Qarib-ur-Rehman Syed, former spokesman and executive member of Hezb-e-Islami, said they will also open its liaison office in Kabul if the group’s conditions have been met.

According to Syed complete withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan is one of the main condition of Hezb-e-Islami party for talks, and the exact date of foreign troops pullout should be specified.
