The members of Helmand Peace March are saying that the letter is stained with the blood of the leader of the Peace March Iqbal Khyber and the main motive of the protest is to attract the attention of the international community to the ongoing violence in Afghanistan having links with the interferences of Pakistan.
They also added that the original copy of the letter has been handed over to the office of the United Nations and a copy of it has been handed over to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul.
A spokesman for the Helmand Peace March Bismilalh Watandost called the move a symbolic act and said the main purpose of the letter is to attract the attention to the international community towards the interference of Pakistan in the Afghan conflict.
The Helmand Peace March in a statement said Tuesday that the members of the Peace March would start sit-in near the Embassy of Iran after handing over the bloodstained letter to UN and the Embassy of Pakistan.
The activists of Helmand Peace March had earlier staged similar sit-in protests near the Embassy of US and Russia and the office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.
