A tall Afghan cricket fan had to struggle to find accommodation for his stay in Lucknow of India ahead of an ODI match between Afghanistan and West Indies.

The 8-feet and 2-inch tall Sher Khan had to approach and seek the support of police after several hotels rejected to offer him accommodation for his stay, it has been reported.

According to local media reports, the local police in Lucknow took Khan to a Hotel in Naka area where he spend the night ahead of the match.

Ranu, the owner of the hotel told ANI on Wednesday as many as 200 people gathered near the hotel to see the 8-feel tall cricket fan.

The Afghanistan cricket team played the first match of the ODI series against West Indies in Lucknow on Wednesday. West Indies defeated Afghanistan by 7 wickets and 21 balls remaining.

The Afghan team will play its second ODI match against West Indies in Lucknow on Saturday.
