Saturday, October 29, 2011 – A heavy explosion rocked Darul-Amman area of capital Kabul early Saturday.
The incident took place after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a foreign troops convoy on Darul Amman highway, around 11:30 am.
NATO officials in Afghanistan confirming the incident said, at least 13 NATO service members were killed following the suicide bomb attack which took place in Darul Aman on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a spokesman in Pentagon confirmed that all the 13 NATO troops who were killed in today’s explosion are US troops.
Meanwhile, Afghan interior affairs ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi said, at least three civilians and an Afghan police soldier were also killed following the incident.
Taliban militants group fighting the Afghan government and coalition forces claimed responsibility behind the incident.
