Kabul car bombingA heavy explosion took place in capital Kabul early Wednesday morning, after a vehicle packed with explosives went off in Qasaba area, near Kabul International Airport.

Interior ministry following a statement confirmed the report and said the vehicle was detonated near the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) base, in the 15th district of Kabul city.

The statement further added that no casualties were reported following the incident which took place around 8:30am local time, however the blast incurred damage to the properties which were located close the explosion site.

Taliban group in Afghanistan claimed responsibility behind the incident. Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban group following a statement said at least 10 foreign troops were killed following the car bomb attack near the ISAF base in Kabul.
