According to local security officials in eastern Afghanistan, dozens of suspected militants with the Pakistani nationalities were killed in eastern Paktiya province.
Gen. Zmarai Khan commnder of 203 Thunder Afghan National Army commandment in Paktiya province said the militants were killed after they attacked a security check post at Mogal district on Friday night.
Gen. Zmarai further added at least 30 suspected militants from Waziri tribe in Pakistan were killed following the clashes.
He also said at least 11 suspected Pakistan militants were also injured following the incident.
Paktiya province located in eastern Afghanistan is bordering with the neighboring Pakistan and is one of the volatile regions in the country where Afghan and foreign militants are openly operating in the area.
Commander of the 203 Thunder Afghan National Army commandment also said at least two Afghan national security forces were also injured during the clashes last night.
Anti-government armed militants group including Taliban yet to comment regarding the report.
