Head of Turkish Red Cross arrives in Kabul

Head of Turkish Red Cross and Deputy of International Federation Kereim Kinik arrived in Kabul on Friday, February 4, 2022, for his three-day visit to the country.

Kerem Kinik was welcomed by the head of Afghan Red Cross Matiullah Ulhaq Khalis, Turkish ambassador to Kabul, and other Afghan authorities in Kabul International Airport.

Speaking to a journalist on his arrival, Kinik said that they stand behind the Afghan people and that the people are valorous and will soon get out of the ongoing crisis.

Kerem Kinik was officially invited by Afghan Red Cross so that he observes the current humanitarian situation and expedite support to Afghanistan.

In the meantime, the head of the Afghan Red Cross Matiullah Ulhaq Khalis asked Turkish Red Cross to stand behind the Afghan people and help them return good days to the people of Afghanistan.

Khalis added that the IEA is struggling to interact with Afghan people so that more aids pour into Afghanistan.

Kerem Kinik is supposed to hold a detailed meeting with his Afghan counterpart and will also meet Afghan acting FM Amir Khan Motaqi and Deputy PM Mullah Abdul Salaam Hanafi on humanitarian assistance.
