Unknown gunmen on Monday abducted an Indian aid worker in western Herat province of Afghanistan.
According to local government officials, the Indian national was working in a non-governmental organization.
The officials further added that the Gunmen abducted the aid worker from Zenda Jan district.
A local security official in Zenda Jan district said the incident took place on Monday afternoon while the aid worker was visiting the area to assess the work of a project.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
