
A group of unidentified gunmen attacked the Karachi Police Office (KPO) headquarters in Pakistan’s Karachi metropolis on Friday evening, which sparked a fierce gunfight between police and the shooters.
According to the officials, the attack was carried out by 12 suicide bombers dressed in police uniforms which injured six police officers.
Police blocked off traffic on the main road leading into the city and brought in large numbers of security personnel as they transported the injured police officers to the hospital.
In recent months in Pakistan, police officers and government officials have been frequently attacked by Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and several Baluchistan separatist groups.

The recent suicide bombing at a mosque in northwestern Peshawar city, killing over 100 people earlier this month, is considered the deadliest in the country.
