The leader of the Islamic Party of Afghanistan (Hezb-e-Islami), Gulbuddin Hekmatyar followed Taliban supreme leader Mullah Mohammad Omar to react towards the proposed bilateral security agreement between Afghanistan and United States of America.
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar following a statement on the occasion of Eid said that the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan will extend the war in the country.
Hekmatyar in his statement further added that the internal issue of Afghanistan should be resolved through intra-Afghan understanding and negotiations, and the foreigners should not interfere.
Hezb-e-Islami leader also added that the foreign forces have faced defeat in Afghanistan, and the occupying forces have not other option to stay and will have to leave the country.
