Ahmad Fawad Amiri, a government employee at the Presidential Palace, was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen in Kabul on Saturday evening, a source said.

A government employee named, Ahmad Fawad Amiri was killed in unidentified armed men attack in Kabul on Saturday evening.

Sources told media, that “Amiri” worked at Presidential Palace.

The incident took place in the Khawaja Musafir area of Paghman district in Kabul when Amiri was on his way to a mosque to offer prayers.

According to police an investigation is underway into the incident.

No group or individual took the responsibility for this targeted attack.

Earlier, two civilians and four security force members are among the killed in a gunmen attack in different parts of Kabul.

In the first incident, a government employee “Barlyalai Tokhi was murdered by unknown gunmen in the Riskhvor area on Friday evening, Police confirmed the assassination to the media.

According to police an investigation is underway to find the motive behind the attack.

Meanwhile, A Higher Education Institute lecturer, Rafi Osmani was killed in an assassination attempt, when he was on his way to the university.

The incident happened in PD4 of Kabul city on Saturday morning.

In another attack in Paja Chinar of Paghman district in Kabul four security force members were killed on Saturday morning, Police told media.

Ferdwaws Faramarz, a spokesman for Kabul police said that all of the incidents that occurred in the capital are under investigation.

This comes as targeted killings have intensified in Kabul and its districts.

Moreover, four civilians were killed and further three others were injured in roadside IED in Kandahar province, provincial police told media.

The blast occurred when a vehicle carrying civilians hit a roadside bomb in the Qabristan area of Arghandab district.

In another security incident, at least three civilians were killed and three more were wounded in a roadside IED explosion in PD3 of Ghazni city on Saturday.

Government blamed the Taliban to have placed the IED that targeted civilians.

So far Taliban has not yet commented on the incidents.

A woman was killed by unidentified gunmen in Engil district of Herat province on Friday night, police confirmed.

According to provincial police the motive behind the attack is unknown.
