Government Inks Contract on 110 Megawatts Electricity

The Presidential Palace has announced the government signed at least four
projects worth $160 Million, with project including solar and winds electronic systems, which has the capability to produce 110 megawatts of power.

According to a statement by the Presidential Palace, these contracts are
among the largest contracts of Breshna Company, and about 110 megawatts of electricity will be added to the capacities of power production networks. 

The agreement was signed in the presence of President Ghani between the DABs (Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat), 77 Construction Corporation, the PhelanEnergy Group, and the Quattro Construction.

According to the statement, the projects are being funded by USAID.

The projects, which include 40 megawatts of solar power in Balkh province,
20 megawatts of floating solar power on the Naghlu dam in Kabul, and Two 25 megawatts of Wind and Solar power systems will be built in Herat province.
