Sediqullah Tawhidi, director of NAI a media organization which supports open media in Afghanistan says government is repeatedly asked to take proper measure for the security of journalists, adding that even with all these requests security concerns laying in front journalists have not been lightened.
Tawhidi called on government to arrest the killers of Afghan Journalist Mohammad Aqil Wiqar and punish them for their crime.
Afghan journalist Mohammad Aqil Wiqar was working with local Speen Ghar radio in eastern Nangarhar province that was killed by unknown gunmen on Friday night.
According to the reports, Wiqar was attending a wedding party in Bati Kot district when unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets on him.
He was the 1st journalist being killed so far this year.
