President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has reaffirmed commitment on a robust investment in judicial sector of the country.
The reaffirmation was made during a meeting with the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) officials on Tuesday.
The Presidential Palace media office said President Ghani met with a number of AIHRC officials on Tuesday morning.
AIHRC officials welcomed and supported President Ghani’s commitments and steps on human rights reforms, specifically the women’s rights.
The officials said they are hopeful that the Afghan women will achieve their rights following the reforms.
In the meantime, President Ghani called for close cooperation of the human rights comission and asked them for their recommendations regarding the reform in human rights sector.
President Ghani said he will remain accountable based on the recommendations by human rights commission at the end of the year.
He said the government is committed to a robust investment on judicial institutions of the country and is having numerous plans on human rights sector.
