
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has ordered the relevant authorities to take strict actions against the culprits of kidnap and murder of a 6-year-old girl who was brutally murdered after her family failed to pay ransom for her release.
The incident sent shockwaves across the country amid sharp rise in criminal incidents in Kabul city and other major cities and provinces of the country.
The Office of President, ARG Palace, in a statement said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was deeply griefed of the incident involving the kidnap and murder of 6-year-old Mahsa in Kabul city.
The statement further added that President Ghani has called the criminal incident as ‘unacceptable’ and has instructed the relevant authorities to strictly pursue the case and severely punish the culprits in light of enforced laws of the country.
The Ministry of Interior had earlier announced that the police forces have arrested two suspects in connection to kidnap and murder of a 6-year-old girl in Kabul city.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the two suspects had kidnapped a 6-year-old girl from 315th residential project site located in 11th police district of Kabul city and had then murdered her.
The statement further added that the kidnappers were demanding $300,000 ransom in exchange for the release of hostage.
