
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has issued a decree dissolving the High Peace Council of Afghanistan, officials in ARG Presidential Palace confirmed.
Sediq Sediqi, spokesperson of ARG Presidential Palace told reporters in Kabul that President Ghani has dissolved the High Peace Council of Afghanistan.
Sediqi further added that the responsibilities of High Peace Council will be transferred to State Ministry in Peace Affairs.
President Ghani established the new ministry, State Ministry in Peace Affairs a while ago and appointed his Chief of Staff Salam Rahimi as acting minister of the ministry.
Meanwhile, Ghani appointed Mohammad Omar Daudzai, the Secretariat Chief of High Peace Council as Chief of his Electoral Team.
