President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has appointed Mohammad Fahim Hashemi as the new acting minister of communications and information technology.
The Office of the Chief of Staff of President Palace issued a statement earlier this evening confirming Mr. Hashemi’s appointment.
According to a statement released by Office of Chief of Staff of Presidential Palace, President Ghani has issued a decree appointing Mohammad Fahim Hashemi as acting minister of communications and information technology.
The statement further added that President Ghani has appointed Mr. Hashemi as per the Article 11 and Item 64 of the Constitution of Afghanistan.
The Office of Chief of Staff of President Palace also added in its statement that the State Minister in Parliamentary Affairs is obliged to introduce Mr. Hashemi to the Lower of the Parliament to obtain vote of confidence from the lawmakers.
