Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of Germany, emphasized the deportation of migrants, particularly citizens of Afghanistan and Syria, adding that praising terrorism goes against all our values and anyone who does so must be deported.

According to reports, the German Chancellor made these remarks on Thursday, June 6, in the country’s parliament.

Referring to the tightening of deportation regulations, Olaf Scholz stated that “such criminals must be expelled – even if they come from Syria and Afghanistan.”

Strict laws against migrants in Germany have intensified after a recent incident where an Afghan citizen stabbed a police officer to death and injured six others during an anti-Islam protest in the city of Mannheim.

The German Chancellor described this incident as a tragedy and added that laws against such violence must be tougher, and those who kill police officers must be punished severely.

Yesterday, Nancy Faeser, the German Interior Minister, also announced a review of the deportation process for migrants, stating that “in such cases, Germany’s security interests must clearly take precedence over the interests of affected individuals [from deportation].”

It is worth mentioning that the stabbing attack by an Afghan citizen at a gathering in Germany has sparked widespread reactions, with several opposition politicians, Social Democratic parties, and Free Democrats calling for the review of migrant deportations from the country.
