Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has appointed Gen. Bismillah Mohammad, as the acting Minister of Interior Affairs, removing Hayatullah Hayat.
Bismillah Mohammadi, belonging to Jamiat political party has been introduced as the acting Minister of Interior Affairs in consultation with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, as according to a political pact between President Ghani and HNCR Chief, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the MOI shall be introduced by Abdullah Abdullah, a source said speaking to Khaama Press.
Gen. Bismillah Mohammadi is from Panjshir province, previously working as Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior Affairs during the presidency of Hamid Karzai.
This comes as violence and war have dramatically increased throughout Afghanistan and according to security reports, clashes between the Taliban fighters and the Afghan forces are carried out in almost 80 districts.
At the same time, the Taliban spokesperson in Doha said in a statement that the contract groups from both negotiating parties had a meeting last evening to discuss holding a meeting between both parties in the future.
At the same time, a close source to HNCR confirmed the going of a high political delegation from Afghanistan to Doha next week to meet with the Taliban and Qatar leaders.
