The security forces busted a gang of armed robbers in Kabul city and arrested three persons, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said.

According to a statement released by NDS, the Special Forces of the directorate busted the gang in fourth police district of the city.

The statement further added that the detained individuals, Ahmad Zaki alias Commando, Nawid alias Momin son of Dad Ghulam and Hasibullah son of Safiullah were previously operating in Obaid’s gang.

Furthermore, the National Directorate of Security said the trio were harassing and extorting people in Kabul city, specifically extorting the students and lecturers of a private university.

The NDS forces arrested the three men as they were attempting to steal a vehicle from the 5th district of the city, NDS added.

The National Directorate of Security also added that the three individuals had also attacked and wounded some residents of the city who had refused to pay the gang.
