US officials say that four university professors were injured in a knife attack while touring the city of Jilin, located in northeastern China.

CNN claims that four American university professors from a small university in Iowa were targeted in a knife attack at a park in Jilin province in northeastern China.

According to CNN, these American professors were graduates of Cornell College.

Based on reports, this incident occurred when the four American professors were visiting one of the Chinese universities and became the target of the attack.

According to Jilin city police, a 55-year-old man named Cui was walking in a public park on Monday when he accidentally bumped into a foreigner.

Subsequently, he stabbed the foreigner and three others who were accompanying him. Additionally, he attacked a Chinese individual who attempted to intervene.

Kim Reynolds, the Governor of Iowa, wrote on “Twitter” that she is in contact with the US State Department after learning of this “horrific” attack.

Chinese authorities have not issued any statements regarding this attack so far, and no reports confirming it have been published in Chinese media.

Additionally, CNN has not provided details about the physical conditions of the injured in this alleged attack.
