Former Health Minister accuses the government of conducting double-standard treatments in fighting corruption

Afghanistan former Health Minister accused the government of playing a double-standard role in fighting against corruption.

Ferozuddin Feroz, ex Afghan Health Minister in an audio message sent to Khaama Press in reaction to Ombudsperson’s Office introducing him to General Attorney in accusation of funds embezzlement and abuse of authority said that he hopes the law is implemented equally on every citizen.

I am ready to answer judicial institutions about my past performance as the Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, but I wish Ghani’s government would have implemented the law equally on everyone.

One is introduced to General Attorney for his honest service, while someone else is praised for national treason, Feroz added.

Is the reward of my honest services in the hard times of COVID-19, introducing me to the prosecutor?

Ferozuddin Feroz said.

Feroz accused government for praising those who were engaged in the embezzlement of COVID-19 funds.

This comes as that the Ombudsperson’s Office announced on Monday about introducing former Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz and 4 deputy ministers in accusation of misusing COVID-19 funds.

According to Feroz Bashari, director of communications to the Ombudsperson’s Office, ex Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz, Wahidullah Majroh, deputy minister for services and three former deputy minister’s including Dr. Feda Mohammad Paikan, Dewa Samad and Mamosai Zewar have been introduced to the attorney office for further investigations about the COVID-19 funds.
