KABUL, Afghanistan – Abdul Rahman Shahidani, a former Bamyan member of the House of Representatives, joined the Taliban and traveled to Qatar, according to documents leaked to Khaama Press.

The Bamyan governor’s office has sent a letter to the local authorities, urging the security organs to follow up on the issue for more details and confirmation.

Meanwhile, spokesman for the governor of Bamyan province Latif Azimi, confirmed to Khaama Press the letter has been sent by the governor’s office to the relevant departments for follow ups on the case.

Shahidani has more than one case against him recorded in the Attorney General’s Office, including an accusation, him beating the head of the Bamyan Provincial Council.
