(Tolo News) – Video of the founder of Afghan Taliban Killed in captivity was released on Saturday by the Pakistani Taliban.
Retired Brigadier Sultan Amir Tarar known as Colonel Imam helped the Taliban rise to power in Afghanistan.
Colonel Imam, the top former Pakistani spy, was abducted during a visit to Pakistan’s lawless tribal belts along the Afghan border in March last year.
The video shows Taliban Chief Hakimullah Mehsud and some of his aides standing with weapons, and a Taliban fighter, his head covered with handkerchief points a pistol at Imam shooting him dead while he is standing barefoot.
Colonel Imam was reported dead on January 23th.
The Asian Tigers, an unknown militant group, had claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
The group accused Imam of spying and had demanded huge money as ransom for his release.
During Afghans war against Soviet Union in 1980s, Colonel Imam was working with the CIA.
Imam was offering trainings to a number of Afghan warriors including the Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar.
He was killed on January 2011. (Video is published now).
