Five insurgents have been killed and one wounded in an airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province.
The airstrike was conducted in Chahardahi area of Bati Kot District on Thursday night.
A “Saracha” type vehicle in which six insurgents were traveling was attacked. The five killed included Salahuddin who was the group’s commander.
Local security officials say the group was involved in destructive activities and were harassing civilians in their area.
This was at least 4th airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province in which more than 30 rebels have been killed.
