The Afghan State Minister for Peace has called for an immediate ceasefire and resumption of the peace negotiations.

Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, the State Minister for Peace believes the peace dynamics have changed post NATO troops withdrawal announcements.

In a Twitter message he published late Sunday evening, he has said that more fighting, bloodshed and killing Afghans are no longer acceptable.

Fighting has to stop and genuine negotiation must start immediately, Naderi has tweeted.

This comes as, the US and NATO troops withdrawal announcement has put Afghans in an uncertain circumstances.

According to security reports, violence have dramatically increased in the past few months and the Taliban have already started its spring offensive despite their commitments in the U.S – Taliban peace agreement.

But still, many Afghans hope for a peaceful political settlement as many regional and international partners of the country urge for it and puts pressure on both parties to sit and talk at the negotiating table.
